We’re taking Charlotte Girl Garage into the community.
A permanent home remains part of our long-term vision, but our girls should not have to wait for a building. For the next one to two years, Charlotte Girl Garage will operate as a mobile, community-based program—bringing small-group workshops into trusted spaces throughout Charlotte.
How the mobile model works
Present these as three simple visual blocks or icons:
- We develop relevant, practical workshops for middle-school girls.
- Schools, libraries, community centers, businesses, and other local venues host us.
- Charlotte Girl Garage provides the facilitator, program structure, materials, mentorship, and participant experience.
Host Charlotte Girl Garage
We are looking for Charlotte-area partners with safe, welcoming space for approximately 10–15 girls. Potential hosts may include schools, libraries, community centers, coffee shops with private meeting rooms, creative studios, wellness businesses, neighborhood clubhouses, and faith or civic organizations.

Ways to move the mission forward
- Host a workshop at your location
- Sponsor workshop materials or participant fees
- Teach or assist with a workshop
- Introduce Charlotte Girl Garage to a school or community organization
- Support the eventual purchase of a permanent home
A HOME OF OUR OWN—SOMEDAY
We still envision a permanent Charlotte Girl Garage home: a safe, creative place where workshops, mentorship, community partnerships, and new ideas can grow. We are also open to exploring a mobile classroom or program van as the on-the-road model develops. These are future possibilities—not current purchases or secured plans.
