A Letter from Our Founder
Charlotte Girl Garage was born from a simple idea — that middle school girls deserve a place to learn practical skills, express themselves, and discover their potential surrounded by mentors who see their worth.
Over the past few years, that mission has been tested and strengthened in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
In the early days, we hosted classes in my home — warm and full of laughter, but not sustainable. We moved to our neighborhood clubhouse, but scheduling and costs quickly became difficult. Then came COVID. Then cancer. And somehow, in the middle of all that, we kept showing up — creating space wherever we could, even as those spaces kept shifting beneath us.
In the past two years alone, we’ve packed up and moved three times. Each new location was offered with generosity and good intentions, but every move brought its own set of challenges.
Now, at last, there’s a new chapter. Charlotte Girl Garage is under contract for a permanent home — a space that will give us the stability and grounding we’ve been working toward since the beginning.
This season looks quieter from the outside. We’re not running our usual classes right now, and that’s intentional. We’re slowing down to build something meant to last. The stability our girls need is exactly what this organization needs too.
When we open our doors again, it won’t be borrowed space. It will be home.
With love and resolve,
Corie

Where We Are Now
We’re in the process of securing our permanent location — a place where mentorship, creativity, and community can finally take root. While our regular programming is paused during this transition, our focus is on fundraising, planning, and preparing the new space to open strong in 2026.
Every dollar raised, every hour volunteered, and every item donated helps transform this dream into something tangible.
How You Can Help
Charlotte Girl Garage is powered by people who believe in what we’re building.
- Monetary donations are our most immediate need to finalize the purchase and prepare the building.
- In-kind donations — skilled trades like plumbing, painting, landscaping, cleaning, or interior design — help us ready the space.
- Material support — fixtures, equipment, furnishings, or building materials — bring the environment to life.
- Coaching and mentorship — preparing for future programs — ensures we can launch in 2026 with strength and heart.
If you or your business can contribute funds, materials, or expertise, we’d love to connect.

Looking Ahead
The years of moving taught us patience and persistence. This next season is about roots — a foundation for every girl who will one day walk through our doors and see what’s possible when a community believes in her.
Would you like me to make the next piece (the Get Involved page for monetary + in-kind donations) match this same tone and layout so Gary can drop them in sequence?
